Solgar's L-Lysine Tablets are free of corn, yeast, wheat, soy and dairy products, and are formulated without the use of preservatives, artificial flavours or colours.
Lysine is important for proper growth and it plays an essential role in the production of carnitine, a nutrient responsible for converting fatty acids into energy and helping to lower cholesterol. Lysine appears to help the body absorb and conserve calcium and it plays an important role in the formation of collagen, a substance important for bones and connective tissues including skin, tendon, and cartilage. Supplementing Lysine may reduce recurrences of cold sores by suppressing the virus that causes sores Solgar's free form amino acids are already in their simplest form (no peptide bonds) and can be readily absorbed into the bloodstream.


Directions:
As a dietary supplement for adults, one (1) tablet daily with juice or water, between meals, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

Ingredients:
L-Lysine (free form as HCI) (1000mg/tablet). Bulking Agent: microcrystalline cellulose.Anticaking Agents: stearic acid, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate. Cellulose gum. Colour: titanium dioxide. Glazing Agent: hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, vegetable glycerin.
