We usually order Monday lunchtime and receive our delivery first thing Wednesday morning of the same week.

Most of the time we should be able to have your order ready for you Wednesday if you let us know what you would like by 12 Noon Monday.

THE "HRT" CAKE RECIPE (Two cake mix-freezes very well)        

4oz-100g Soya Flour 2 Pieces Stem Ginger, chopped finely

4oz-100g Wholewheat Flour 8oz-200g Raisins

4oz-100g Porridge Oats Approx ¾ Litre Soya Milk

4oz-100g Linseeds 1tbs Malt Extract

2oz-50g Sunflower Seeds ½ tsp Nutmeg

2oz-50g Pumpkin Seeds ½ tsp Cinnamon

2oz-50g Sesame Seeds ½ tsp Ground Ginger

THE METHOD:

Put dry ingredients into a large bowl and mix thoroughly, then add soya milk and malt extract. Mix well and leave to 

soak for about half an hour. If mixture is too stiff, add more soya milk. Spoon into loaf tin lined with greaseproof paper

 and oil. Bake in oven gas mark 5/190C for about 1 hour or until cooked through (test with skewer). Turn out and leave 

to cool. Delicious with butter or spread. Ideally, eat a slice a day.

NB. ½ litre of soya milk makes a flapjack style cake, where as ¾ litre makes a very moist cake. The choice is yours!

"I have had it suggested that a layer of cranberries put in middle of cake would make another alternative.  Not tried yet.  Also yet to see if self raising wholemeal flower makes any difference.
