Applied directly at the source of joint discomfort
Directions : Apply a thin layer of gel over the affected areas and
gently rub in until absorbed. This can be repeated up to six times a day. For
additional benefits keep the gel in the fridge and apply after a warm bath.
Do not use near eyes or broken skin. Not to be used during pregnancy. Store at
room temperature or in the fridge - do not freeze. Do not use if sensitive to
any of the ingredients.
Active ingredients: Glucosamine (10% w/v), Horse Chestnut Extract
(2% w/v), menthol (0.01%).
Other Ingredients : Propylene Glycol, Ethanol, Phenonip, Sodium
hydroxide, Carbopol.
What is Glucosamine Gel?
Glucosamine is a naturally-ocurring, non-toxic biochemical constituent, formed
in the body from glucose and L-glutamine. Glucosamine Gel is a topical
formulation containing Glucosamine, and can be applied directly to the joints.
How does Glucosamine Gel work?
Glucosamine exists naturally in the body as an amino sugar. The role of
Glucosamine within the body is to act as a precursor or basic building block
that lays down the foundation for the regeneration and growth of the connective
tissue matrix around the joints. This matrix includes tendons, ligaments,
cartilage, synovial fluid (the cushioning fluid that surrounds the joints),
spinal disks, and mucous membranes.
Why should I use Glucosamine Gel?
Glucosamine Gel has been developed with the University of Brighton Department of
pharmacy, and contains a specialist form of Glucosamine called 'N-Acetyl
glucosamine' that is raedily absorbed through the skin.
The Gel can be applied directly to the area around the joints, and is non-sticky
and non-greasy. The gle has been specially formulated to contain menthol for its
cooling properties, together with Horse Chestnut extract for its natural
anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.
Health Perception Glucosamine Gel is a natural formulation and contains no
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID's) like Ibuprofen. The product is
therefore free of the potential side effects often associated with such drugs.
Health Perception Glucosamine Gel has been tested for efficacy and safety.
However, if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients or irritation develops,
you should discontinue use of this product. Health Perception Glucosamine Gel
should not be used on children under 12 years old, or during pregnanacy.
