Lakshmi Ayurvedic Kajal Black Cold 1.5g
This Kajal, produced on a base of ghee (clarified butter of Ayurveda) is able
to absorb dirt and dust particles as well as giving effective protection from
light. The ingredients are natural oils, beeswax, carbon and especially ghee
which is produced in the traditional Ayurvedic way. The eyes will cool and
become clear following the application of this product. For thousands of years,
this kajal has been used as a natural ophthalmological eye treatment and as a
cosmetic. Ayurvedic Kajals produced by Lakshmi® are made without preservatives
and are constantly authenticated by recognised laboratories.
What is meant by Kajal?
Kajal is an Arabic word for Carbon. This type of Kajal is a protection
against dust, atmospheric pollution, and damage caused by artificial light or
working with a computer. It calms tired and itching eyes and provokes the
formation of tears. The black Ayurvedic Kajals and the neutral one (uncoloured
Cold for men) can be applied to the inner part of the eyelid before sleep to
enhance the effects of eye care and cleansing overnight. The carbon which arises
from burning ghee is mentioned in ancient Ayurvedic literature as being the best
quality. This type of carbon is only used for for Lakshmi® kajals.
Why do more than 60% of the people have dry eyes nowadays?
The excessive air pollution around the world causes a lot of chemicals to be
in contact with our eyes. These chemicals alongside with pollen affect the fluid
that produces tears. The screen-working, car-driving, air-conditioning and the
wearing of contact lenses can be the causes of dryness, burning or red eyes. In
these cases, we recommend the use of the cold Kajals as they will refresh the
eyes through the high quality of the camphor.
Why we use camphor in Lakshmi® Kajal?
Some Kajals are marked with the description "cold". The proportion of camphor
found in Lakshmi® Kajal will give it a very pleasant cooling effect. Cleaned
natural camphor is able to disinfect as well as to prevent inflammations. Red
small veins can be disposed of faster from its astringent effect and the eyes
seem to clear. Also the lachrymal glands are stimulated and make the eyes shine.
Is there any sharpener for Ayruvedic Kajals?
No, the conic form serves its purpose. When the black and colourless kajals
are applied on the lid rim, a wooden pencil would be harsh and there would be a
risk of damage to the eye. The kajal keeps its shape by placing the top sideways
and tuning it whilst using it. When using the kajal according to this technique
it will make a very economical product to use.
