All of the B vitamins are water soluble and so cannot be stored in the body. They are easily lost by cooking, storage and the effects of sunlight. Each vitamin is chemically different from the others and all have separate functions in the body. The overall action of the complex is to help maintain health particularly of the nervous system. B vitamins are vital for carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism and the conversion of food to energy. They help maintain clear eyes, and healthy looking skin and healthy hair. This probably is the reason so many women take a B Complex supplement as part of a nutritional daily beauty care programme. Being water soluble the nutrients are excreted in the urine if too much is taken. A well balanced, good quality formulation is all that's required for the necessary part it can play as a food supplement.

One capsule will typically provide: Thiamin 30mg, Riboflavin 40mg, Niacin 50mg, Vitamin B6 10mg, Folacin 400µg, Vitamin B12 5µg, Biotin 50µg, Pantothenic acid 20mg.

Recommended Intake: 1 capsule daily swallowed with water.
